In our breed there are special dogs who earn titles and awards that are conveyed and honored by the German Shepherd Dog Club of America.
The German Shepherd Dog Club of America is pleased to be able to share with you these special award winners.
Although the owners of the dogs receiving these titles do not have to be members of the GSDCA in order to be recognized, there are other titles and awards that are given to GSDCA members in recognition of their personal achievements and the achievements of their dogs. Click here for information about those member awards.

This title is the most prestigious “conformation” award given by the GSDCA in recognition of the quintessential German Shepherds. They excel in conformation, are sound in body, have keen minds which make them capable of and suitable for the many different “jobs” in which society has placed them…i.e…THE TOTAL DOG.

Each year the GSDCA recognizes the German Shepherd Dog who earned top scores in obedience trials for the prior calendar year. This award is based strictly on scores earned and does not take into account any High in Trial awards or titles earned.
The scores from 200 to 170 are given a point value and then tabulated with the total fro each dog being the basis for the award. It is presented at each year's National (starting with 2008 for the 2007 awards year). Click the Read More link below to see the award winners.
