German Sieger Show---January 1948---VA3

"The most successful son of Pirol was the VA dog Quell v Fredeholz who was exported to the USA where he gained his title and ROM and proved to be a useful dog for character, balance, high withers and hind angulation, albeit with some excess length of loin"

~Author Unknown

"Quell von Fredeholz was in America produced a good deal of stock.  Quell was considered both in Germany and here, to be a top dog.  This strain, particularly through Pirol had to be careful of too much length in loin and less than the wanted ninety degree angulation in the shoulder.

~Capt. WM Goldbecker & Ernest Hart
From "This is the German Shepherd"

"Quell was shown twenty times. Won the group all twenty times and was best in show ten times. It prompted an investigation by the AKC but my information tells me he deserved every win he ever made."
