"Quella, now 10 1/2 years old was whelped in July, 1955, a daughter of Ch. Kern Delta's Exakta, ROM. I have never forgotten her beauty and type when as a puppy she came into the show ring for the first time. While she did not finish her own championship, she has done something greater for Shepherds in her tremendous producing ability. Bred by the Hess family, Quella has been always a very important member of the Hessian Kennels and her name will live for a long time in the careers of her offspring. Caribe is a BIS winner; Tinsel's picture appears in the new English Alsatian book and will be published also in a book on Shepherds due to be published in India --- she is also dam of Hessian's Blaencia which has attained the SchH I title in Germany."
