"Covy-Tucker Hill's Carmelita joins the list with a large number of points for a newcomer. Carmelita's progeny have earned 164 points with four Champions, on male, Ch. Covy-Tucker Hill's Don Quixote, was Select at the National and three Champion bitches. She also has a second male contributing to her points. Carmelita is line bred on that lnace-Melissa click with GV Ch. Lakeside's Harrigan ROM as grandsire on the topside and Select Ch. Lakeside's Gilligan's Island as grandsire on the bottom. Harrigan and Gilligan are full brothers. As we examine the pedigree we see that Ch. Bernd v. Kallengarten ROM is a strong influence appearing once in the fourth generation and four times in the fifth generation.
Carmelita was bred back into the same Lance-Melissa
combination in her breeding to Select Ch. Covy-Tucker Hill's Durango ROM,
for Durano's grandsire on the topside is Harrigan and on the bottom his
grand-dam is Tucker Hill's Halo of Lakeside, who is Harrigan's full sister.
Carmelita's breeding to Cobert's Sirocco of Windigail ROM is even closer
on Lance-Melissa, as Sirocco's sire is Select Ch. Cobert's Reno of Lakeside
ROM. Reno is full brother to Harrigan and Gillian and Sirocco's
dam is Ch. Cobert's Windsong ROM who is out of Select Ch. Cobert's Golly
Gee of Lakeside ROM, who is litter sister to Gilligan. So these
offspring are four times GV Ch. Lance of Fran-Jo ROM and four times Cobert's
Melissa ROM. They are the combination of the brother and sister
Reno, Harrigan, Gilligan and Golly Gee."

1995 Dams of Distinction Report "With 7 champion and 6 ROM progeny, Carmelita was listed in the Red Book for 10 consecutive years, was the 2nd highest living ROM bitch for a few years, and was listed among the all time top 10 ROM bitches in 1993. Carm was just 3 months short of 14 years old when she died."
