October 1975---Winners Dog & Best of Breed

"15 month old, at this age Watson was a little loose at both ends, but age will correct this.  What a beautiful front going into a hard, strong back, followed by an excellent rear.  The temperament and attitude were outstanding."

1984 Red Book

"Watson is from a litter of which several, including himself are OFA certified and many of his offspring are also OFA certifying. Watson has an excellent temperament and generally produces it. He is not only producing sound show dogs and companions but competitive obedience dogs and several participants in Police and Search and Rescue Programs

Watson is missing a #2 upper premolar though his sire, dam and littermates have complete dentition; he does not carry the long coat recessive but does carry the blue factor. He seems to produce well with a variety of bitches, his champions having dams with Lance and Bernd in their background though not necessarily both. Watson seems to produce excellent temperament, good pigment, strong secondary sex characteristics, good feet, excellent fore-assemblies and balanced ground covering gait. Ideally, one would expect him to do well with Lance-heavy bitches which have high wither, elegant type, but possibly need more balance front to rear."
