Responsible Owners of Arkansas Dogs ROADS is a not for profit group. THE ANIMAL COUNCIL (TAC) was founded in 1991 to combat San Mateo County’s (California) action to enact legislation forbidding cat and dog breeding, and mandating sterilization of all cats and dogs.  TAC is a California nonprofit, public benefit corporation tax-exempt under Section §501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code.

TAC’s goal is to seek positive, humane solutions to the challenges of animal rights activists through study, analysis and application of animal husbandry, statistics and law, and at the same time preserve human benefit from all species, breeds and registries.

Save Our Dogs is a grassroots effort to spread the word about how AB 1634 will hurt working dogs in California. Most pet dog owners are not familiar with working dogs and so are not aware of the harm this bill would do if it becomes law. Regulations currently on the books are more than adequate to track down offenders. Enforcement is the issue. In a challenging economic climate, the State of Maine needs to work with people who need minor upgrades.

 What brings us all together in MAPBD is our collective interest in effective and fair canine legislation and promoting responsible dog ownership. Restrictive laws that effect dog ownership are proposed and passed every day at the national, state and local levels. Many of these laws are proposed by well-meaning, but generally misinformed citizens or legislators.  Unfortunately, too many of these initiatives are part of a radical “animal rights” agenda backed by well-funded groups working to ultimately ban all pet ownership.

North Carolina Dog Clubs

 The North Carolina Federation of Dog Clubs (NCFDC) is a statewide non-profit organization devoted to the promotion and welfare of dogs. Founded in 1955, the Federation draws its members from more than 90 active dog clubs throughout the state. The NCFDC helps educate responsible dog owners and breeders and assists its member clubs in providing community services. The NCFDC and its members also seek to influence the passage of legislation and ordinances regarding the interests of dog owners in North Carolina.

 What is the Dog Federation of Wisconsin?

We are a group of dog owners – pet owners, breeders, hunters, exhibitors, trainers, mushers, veterinary personnel, or pet professionals – who are interested in working to protect our rights to own and enjoy our dogs.

What is the Federation working on right now?

  • Providing information to hunters regarding laws impacting their ability to work with their dogs
  • Providing information to pet and kennel owners and kennel clubs to help them fight new restrictive zoning laws
  • Working to make dog owners aware of possible problems with their homeowners’ insurance policies due to dog ownership, and how to fight these problems
