GSDCA PARADE OF SHEPHERD GREATS

Requirements for participation

1.        Former Grand Victors or Victrixes of U.S. or Canada.

2.        Select Dogs and Bitches at least seven (7) years old by Sept. 1, 2004. (U.S. only)

3.        ROM Sires and Dams at least seven (7) years old by Sept. 1, 2004.

4.        Champion U.D. Dogs and Bitches at least seven (7) years old by Sept. 1, 2004.

5.        Former Obedience Victors and Victrixes. (U.S. only)

6.        U.D.T. Dogs and Bitches at least seven (7) years old by Sept. 1, 2004.

7.        O.T. Champions at least seven (7) years old by Sept. 1, 2004.

8.        Schutzhund III degree dogs at least seven (7) years old by Sept. 1, 2004. (trained

          in U.S. only)

9.        Highest winning GSD as per AKC records indicating total number of dogs, any breed defeated in a given year.

10.      U.D./H.S., U.D./H.I., U.U./H.X., Dogs and Bitches at least seven (7) years old

          by Sept. 1, 2004.

11.      Any AOE Recipient. No age restriction.

12.      Former Agility Victors or Victrixes at least seven (7) years old by Sept. 1, 2004.

13.      Service Dogs at least seven (7) years old by Sept. 1, 2004. MUST PROVIDE VERIFIABLE WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION AS PROOF OF STATUS as recognized service dog at time of entry. Categories:  a) Guide Dog

b) Mobility Assistance Dog c) Hearing Dog d) Seizure Assistance Dog

14.      Former North American Seiger or Seigrens.

15.      Certified Search & Rescue (SAR) Dogs. Requirements include:

a)  Owner must provide a certificate from the SAR team as proof of

                        completion of testing for certification.

          b) The dog must be at least seven (7) years of age by Sept. 1, 2004.

           c) Owner must prove their dog was trained under the guidelines &

                        standards of National Association for Search & Rescue (NASAR).

           d)  Document showing proof of service (i.e., individual SAR team

                    leader, public safety agency representative, or any other agency 

 e)  Dog & handler should be in uniform at the Parade.

     CATAGORIES INCLUDE: Cadaver Dogs (trained to find human    

     remains), Wilderness Search Dogs (trained to search for missing

     persons in the wild & in cities), Drowned Victim Recovery Dogs

     (trained to work in and around water searching for human

     remains), Urban Search Dogs (trained to search for victims of 

     natural & man made disasters).

PLEASE SEND A SEVENTY FIVE (75) WORD RESUME OF DOG’S ACCOMPLISHMENTS & AN 8” x 10” GLOSSY PHOTO(with Copyright Release) SUITABLE FOR USE IN CATALOG. Resumes will be edited for reading at Presentation.

Please note the following restrictions: No dog may be presented in the Parade if it is lame, in poor health, or a color disqualified according to the Standard.

Rosettes  MUST be picked up the day of the Parade, none will be mailed.
