Where to stay?

We have six fantastic properties! The hotels listed are the OFFICIAL hotels for the 2003 GSDCA National. GSDCA members may make their reservations now by contacting the hotel of their choice.

All properties are on the beach and offer spectacular views! The special rates listed will be honored for three days prior to the event and three days after the event, based on availability. Rooms on the lower floors have been set aside for National guests with dogs, but you must call early – it is on a first come first serve basis.

Our Show site for the 2003  GSDCA National is the Ocean Center Daytona Beach at 101 North Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32118.

The following applies to all OFFICIAL hotels:

* $25 non-refundable pet deposit per room (limit two dogs per room).

* All reservations must be received by September 4, 2003. Any reservation received after this date will be accepted on a space-available basis only and the group rate may no longer apply.

* To guarantee a reservation, an advance deposit equal to the first night and tax on each room is required by either check or credit card (any check tendered must include the individual’s birth date, driver’s license state and license number).

* Cancellations less than seven days prior to arrival date, or guests who do not check in before 12 a.m. (midnight) on the first day, will forfeit their first night’s room and tax, and their room will be released.

* The GSDCA National Specialty Show Hotel Rules and Regulations will be in effect for this National. This information has always been found in the Advance Brochure and can be found this year AT THE END below.

Oceans Resorts are our destination for home away from home during the 2003 National. There are six most lovely properties that have welcomed the German Shepherd Dog Club of America members and their dogs. As you may be aware, grass is a rare thing in the center of Daytona Beach at the hotels “on the beach.” In anticipation of our arrival and in a gesture of welcome, each of our official properties will be bringing in sod for a parking area at each hotel for the purpose of providing an area to exercise our dogs. I know you can appreciate the fact that only guests of the hotel may avail themselves of the exercise areas. This will be monitored.

The Daytona Beach is the same as all other resort areas in the United States – dogs are not allowed on the beach. Should an owner choose to take their pets to the beach, you must travel north to the Dog Beach. Directions will be provided at the hotels.
