"This dog always made my travel time "worth the trip".  I was fortunate to have judged him as a 9-12 Puppy and thrilled to once again see him as a Special.  A judge always wonders just how a young animal will mature, and to see him on this day made my heart smile.  At 2 1/2 years old, he has come into his own as his maturity handsomely fills out his suit and persona.  A large black and tan dog of balanced proportion, he stands stately when posed.  He presents a picture of all male from his head to his tail.  His  length of neck enhanced the impression of elegance and strength.  Clean down and back, he only gets better from the side.  he exhibits a ground covering gait without any lifting or dragging.  He was shown at a very good speed and held his command of the ring fro the entire class.  His character is flagrantly exceptional and the piece de résistance--his temperament is excellent!"

"Another strong, masculine light tan and black male (same sire as #16; Ch. Hickory Hill’s Wild Wild West v Pilgrim) Strong head, firm back, a coordinat3ed side mover who shows endurance. A bit tighter going and a touch more forehand would make his day."

"The first dog had a beautiful performance. He had bright black and tan pigment and I remembered who he was as he flashed around the ring with ease and a beautiful back. He was in terrific condition for 10 years. If he had looked this good in Specials, he would have to have gotten a number. What a cute bunch of old wonderful dogs and they all had clean teeth.... Hats off to the owners who care."
