1973 Red Book---#1 Brood Bitch
"The lovely Laurlloy's Admira heads the list for Top Producing bitches
in 1973 with two litters sired by G.V. Ch. Lance of Fran-Jo, ROM - totalling
thirteen pups, all with great temperament, beautiful breed type, excellent
angulation at both ends, with a beautiful side gait. The first litter
consisted of Doppelt-Tay's Gringo, Gilda and Gabrielle. Gabrielle won
her class and Gilda was Best Female in Futurity in the Northeast Region
and went on the complete her championship at an early age and became the
1973 Futurity Victrix and second Select to the Grand Victrix. The ten
younger brothers and sisters were shown in the Teenage class. Jigger,
Jenean and Jill won their classes and Jessette was second. Jenean went
on to win Best Opposite in the Mid-Atlantic Futurity.
Admira is a large boned bitch with excellent substance, good pigment,
a full mouth and correct bite. She has a lovely topline and rear-quarter.
Her owners, Jesse and Lorraine Clifford feel that she is one of the few
Shepherds to have a "correct" front assembly. It is not difficult to imagine
that Admira must move very well.
Mira is seven years old and a privileged house dog. She is protective,
but always allows the neighborhood children into their home. This is not
the case with adults however. They are always inspected first before being
allowed to enter.
The saying that a kennel is no better than its bitches is certainly true
in Mira's case. The Clifford's obviously love her very much and feel very
fortunate to own her. Her bloodlines will continue to flourish in some
of today's and tomorrow's great show dogs and producers."
